The Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County would like to announce the release of Tales of John Wood and His Adams County. The official book launch open house will be at the Governor John Wood Mansion at 425 S. 12th Street in Quincy, Illinois on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

Authors will be positioned throughout the Mansion for visitors to meet. Both hard cover and soft cover books will be available to purchase in the Visitor’s Center across the alley from the John Wood Mansion. The hardback version is $50, but will be reduced to $40 for the event, and the soft cover is $30, but will be reduced to $25 for the event. Complimentary refreshments will be available in the Visitor’s Center, as well.
